Went exploring again into a world that seems straight out of a surreal dream. The moment I entered the city, I felt like I should be looking for a yellow-brick road to find my way to OZ. However, as I started to explore, I quickly realized that this was something more. There were stone figures of bigger than life heroes from the past,  I wonder what they were doing in the water? Were they coming from beyond the horizon to bring doom or protection to the people that once lived here? Unfortunately, I must of arrived at a time when the inhabitants were off busying themselves with work or the daily chores of life on this wonderful island because the city was just that, long since deserted.  I stumbled upon a small gazebo type building that over-looked the ocean with a perfect view for meditating the days thoughts away.

Further down the way, there was a forest, black and most alluring to a creature of the night. I almost felt at home here until I stumbled upon the camp fire. What could this be? Some left their bicycle here? I didn’t have much time to continue exploring but this place definitely warrants another look. Who would leave a bicycle sitting out in the wilderness all by itself, next to a freshly lit camp fire? Strange…

Found my way around a back alley to some doors. As I turned the corner, someone decided to dump a bunch of boxes on me! Can you believe that? Just walking around, minding my own business and some one decides to drop a bunch of boxes on me. Thank goodness I dodged out of the way. I might still be there hoping someone would find me or there would be a full moon so I could regain the strength to head back to the castle.
The good thing about dodging the boxes is that I managed to find a back door to a music store on main street. Lead me right back to the original store I started off at. Thank goodness that’s all over and I’m back at the castle. Think I’ll pack it in and get some things done around here.

Woke up and wandered around the land for a few minutes before heading off to someplace created by Torley Linden called Cyberspace. It is a quite beautiful place built to remind one of the old cyberpunk view of cyberspace with a reminder of the Grid like in Hackers or more akin to the original Tron. I started off in the middle of the sim and walked up some very cool steps that led to a tree with dark tree that glows a wonderful pink/purple light. Further down is a giant chess board type area and a wonderful scenic view of the rest of the sim.

Hoping to go explore a few more places later but there’s a lot to see in Second Life and I highly suggest that anyone that hasn’t been on the grid yet go and explore it. People all around the world have the opportunity to make their world and some of them are actually quite amazing.
